CLINICAL TEAM
JiIl Jones is a clinical social worker holding licenses in both Georgia and California. She received her bachelor's degree in public and social services from Kennesaw State University, and her master's desgree in social work from California State University, Long Beach. Prior to joining Access in 2015, she spent 12 years at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and 4 years at Operation Jump Start - a non-profit working to assist inner city children to achieve the dream of a college education.
Jill provides individual, group and family counseling to teens and adults. She strongly believes that the best treatment is a true collaboration between client and therapist. Therefore, she takes an eclectic approach to counseling, personalizing the tools and interventions to meet the client's individual needs.
Jill is passionate about assisting clients as they go through significant life transitions. She studied clinical hypnotherapy at Milton Erikson Foundation, and can use hypnotherapy as a treatment to assist with pain and stress management, eliminating bad habits such as smoking and overeating, or as part of a larger treatment plan. Jill believes in life long learning and is consistently seeking to develop new therapeutic tools to assist her clients.
In addition to working with clients, Jill has over 15 years of experience as a clinical supervisor, and is available to provide clinical supervision for clinical interns and clinicians seeking licensure.
Tiara Jones is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Georgia. She completed a Bachelor of Social Work degree at Georgia State University in 2016 and a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Clinical Practice at Saint Leo University in 2017. In 2022, Tiara joined the Access team as a licensed MSW Clinical associate under supervision of LCSW Jill Jones following five years of medical social work practice in nursing home and hospice settings.
Tiara provides individual and group counseling to clients within the stages of young adulthood to older adulthood. Tiara seeks to establish therapeutic relationships that are strengths-based, collaborative, and client-centered. She exercises a compassionate, reflective, and inquisitive approach to offer encouragement and empowerment for clients as they work toward achieving their goals of healing or improving their mental health. Tiara helps clients to reach their goals through the implementation of techniques and interventions derived from cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and solutions focused therapeutic perspectives.
Marissa Morris is a psychotherapist, with licensure as a professional counselor. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology, and a master's degree in clinical psychology. Throughout her therapeutic career, she has gained experience in various treatment settings working with adults, impaired professionals, adolescents, couples and families. These treatment settings include telephonic life coaching, community counseling, in-patient and out-patient hospitalization programs, substance abuse treatment centers and correctional facilities.
Marissa has many years of experience working with chronic health and mental health issues, such as substance abuse, anger, grief, depression, life transitions, medical illness, caregiver stress, anxiety, trauma, work/life imbalance and parenting challenges, among other life challenges and stressors.
Her passion is to help empower others throughout their personal life journey. Marissa utilizes various treatment modalities and is eclectic in her approach in order to meet the individual needs of her clients.
Christina Preyor is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Georgia State University in 2000, and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Argosy University in 2004.
Christina is a board-certified Telemental Health Provider and certified in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which she uses to counsel children and adolescents. She has over 16 years of experience in behavioral health across various settings including state/private hospitals, group homes, community mental health, and crisis intervention teams serving both urban and rural areas.
In addition to being lively and engaging, Christina is known to be very direct in her approach, as she believes that building a genuine therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone for growth in the counseling process. She uses an integrative approach when working with clients, utilizing psycho-education, play therapy, art therapy, skills training, and journaling as just a few tools to promote change throughout the counseling process.
Christina's specialty populations include children, ages 7-12, adolescents and young adults.
COACHING TEAM
Shannon Thompson is a personal development coach committed to guiding individuals towards unlocking their full potential and achieving their aspirations. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sales and Marketing from Tuskegee University, a Graduate Certificate in Sports Business Marketing, and a coaching certificate in Personal Development and Positive Psychology from the CaPP Institute.
As a coach, Shannon empowers clients to overcome obstacles, discover their strengths, and cultivate a mindset conducive to success. Her approach focuses on fostering self-awareness, setting actionable goals, and implementing effective strategies tailored to each individual's unique journey.
Shannon's empathetic nature and keen understanding of human behavior allow her to create a supportive and encouraging environment where clients feel motivated and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Her coaching philosophy centers on the belief that everyone posses the innate ability to create positive change and live a purposeful life. Through one-on-one sessions, workshops, wellness support groups, and personalized guidance, empowers her clients to overcome limiting beliefs, enhance their confidence, and embrace a growth-oriented mindset. With Shannon's guidance, individuals embark on a transformative journey towards realizing their true potential, fostering resilience, and achieving a harmonious balance between personal and professional fulfillment.
